In this drawing practice, MCRV engages in a process of intimate cartography—mapping the quiet, transitory spaces where nature, memory, and gesture meet. Emerging from close observation and tactile dialogue with botanical forms, these works dissolve the boundaries between figure and abstraction, between what is seen and what is felt.
The drawings are traces of encounters. Each mark captures a suspended instant—an ephemeral presence that questions permanence, creating visual spaces where the natural world is not only represented but re-experienced.
Through layered transparencies, shifting textures, and rhythmic gestures, MCRV constructs sensitive topographies where growth and dissolution coexist. These cartographies invite a contemplative wandering, offering the viewer an open space in which to experience slowness, transience, and the continuity of life.
